SUKKUR: A man allegedly shot dead his sister and a man over an alleged matter of honour in the Arib Jakhrani village within the jurisdiction of the Muhammadpur Odho police station, in taluka Garhi Khairo, Jacobabad, on Friday.

The suspect, identified as Saddam Jakhrani, opened fire, killing his sister Ms Iqbal Bibi and a neighbour named Khadim Jakhrani on the pretext of karo-kari and fled.

Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the taluka hospital for a post-mortem.

After completion of the medico-legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the respective heirs, police said.

Meanwhile, the SSP Jacobabad took a serious notice of the incident, forming police teams to arrest the suspect.

An fir was not registered till the filing of this report.
