DADU, June 11: An all-party conference held here on Saturday called for allocation of funds for providing basic amenities in Dadu town.

The conference urged the government to start work on a schemes of Sabzi Mandi, bus terminal, Dadu bypass, sports complex and water supply and drainage scheme.

Awami Ittehad chairman Gul Mohammad Joyo said that the town has remained neglected for 50 years.

He said that the acute problem people had been facing was unavailability of drinking water.

UC-4 Nazim Ali Bux Solangi said that no development scheme had been launched in the area for last six months because he belonged to the PPP.

Qaim Ali Siyal said that the town was still awaiting start of work on Sabzi Mandi, new bus terminal, Dadu bypass and stadium for last 10 years.

Asghar Mallah said that 23 colonies had no civic amenities at all.

Abdul Khaliq, Aijaz Lund, Abbas Vighio, Inayat Jamali, Noor Mohammad Soomro, Anwar Panhwar, Maqsood Chandio, Amir Lashari, Qadir Bux Lund, Furqan Kabooro, Amin Panhwar and Niaz Ahmed spoke on the occasion. The APC organized by Awami Ittehad.

Leaders of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Jeay Sindh Mahaz, Pakistan People’s Party (Shaheed Bhutto), Awami Tehrik, Sindh National Front, Sindh National Party, Sindhi Adabi Sangat, Government Schools Teachers Association, SGA and Dadu Shehri Welfare Ittehad attended the conference.
