Abid, Aamir shine

LAHORE, June 9: Fine batting by Abid Hanif and Aamir Khan helped Cantt Gymkhana beat Young Aligarh Club by six wickets in the TMD Cup cricket tournament at the Iqbal Park Sports Complex ground on Friday.

Abid hit eight fours and five sixes in making a 70-ball 84 while Aamir cracked eight fours and three sixes to score 77 as Cantt Gymkhana reached their target of 229 in 28 overs.

Earlier Imran Kazmi struck a 75-ball 86 to help Young Aligarh Club pile up 228-8 in 35 overs. He smashed 10 boundaries and four sixes.
