KARACHI, June 9: Five ships carrying containers, chemicals and to load frozen fish are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where 10 ships were berthed to unload and load sugar, fertilizer and containers. They are: Lalazar, Fiona, Global Union, oil tankers, Calvin P Titus, CMA CGM Simba, to unload and containers, Maria T.L. to unload fertilizer, Maersk Cloud to offload cars, Free Fighter, to unload and load general cargo and Bolan to offload sugar.

The sailing was also active as many vessels departed including Hyunaid Future, Kota Warnu, Marcalabria, CMA CMG Simba, Mesaroeed, Guan He Kou, Amar, D.D. Vigor, Oriental Tulip and Iran Sokan.

Fiona, Sea Rose, Free Fighter, Oel Aishwarya, Lalazar, MOL Silver Fern, Global Union, and Clementine are due to sail out on Saturday, after unloading and loading general cargo, rice and containers.

A total tonnage of 95,599 tons comprising 22,546 tons of export cargo, including 2,017 tons of rice and 73,053 tons of import tonnage, was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Golden Express, with chemicals, Hanjin Busan, Wan Hai-320, Global Prince, with containers and Shofu, to load 350 tons of frozen fish.
