LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced it is accepting registrations from foreign players for the upcoming 11th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), setting a deadline of January 20, 2026.

The landmark PSL-11 season, which will feature an expanded lineup of eight teams for the first time, is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, 2026.

The auction for the two new franchises is set for Jan 8 in Islamabad, after being postponed from the original date of Jan 6.

The PCB stated the delay was due to an overwhelming response, particularly following recent PSL-11 promotional Road Shows in London and New York.

The board has shortlisted six Pakistani cities as potential homes for the new teams: Faisalabad, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit.

Notably, the PCB did not hold similar Road Shows in any of these six shortlisted cities.

In an official announcement, the PCB encouraged global participation, stating: “As the league enters a historic new era of expansion, cricketing talent from around the world is welcome to join for what promises to be the biggest season yet.”

It added that the expansion creates “significantly more roster spots and earning opportunities for international players,” urging agents and independent players to complete registration before the deadline to be included in the player pool.
