QUETTA, June 8: Provincial Finance Minister Syed Ehsan Shah will present provincial budget for 2006-07 in the provincial assembly on June 20, this was officially announced here on Thursday.

Royality issue: The Provincial Assembly on Friday will debate the issue of Balochistan’s royalty on the proposed gas pipeline project involving Pakistan, India and Iran.

An adjournment motion was moved by leader of the opposition Kachkol Ali on June 5 and was admitted for debate without any opposition from the treasury benches.

Provincial Finance Minister Syed Ehsan Shah had supported the move and said that Balochistan’s share should be taken into account while finalising the tripartite gas pipeline agreement.

He said that the provincial government would take up the issue with Islamabad after the finalisation of an agreement between the three countries.
