KARACHI, June 7: Three ships carrying containers and chemicals arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Berth occupancy stood at 67pc as six ships were occupying berths to load and offload containers, edible oil, yellow peas, sugar, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume 70,361 tons comprising 49,791 tons of import and 20,570 tons of export cargo was handled.

Sailing was active as Rich Duchess and Stolt Tenacity left the port while P&O Nedlloyd Muscat, Gallant Wave and Sea Journey were due to depart.

Five ships, Saudi Tabuk, Al-Mariyah, Al-Marwah, Sita Camilla and Al-Maqwa, carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were due to reach on Thursday.
