KARACHI: The city administration on Thursday fixed the maximum retail price of fresh milk at Rs220 per litre.

According to a notification, Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi notified the price under Section 7 of the Sindh Essential Commodities Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act, 2005 (Amended in 2008 and 2023).

The milk price at the dairy farm and wholesale level was fixed at Rs200 and Rs208 per litre, respectively.

The quality and hygiene of milk will be ensured as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs), the notification said.
