LAHORE: The Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) elected its president, secretary and treasurer here on Saturday.

Dr Hamood Lakhvi, Tahir Mehmood and Syed Ali Shah were elected unopposed as president, secretary and treasurer, respectively. They replaced ex-president Shaukat Javed, secretary Syed Fakhar Ali Shah and Mohsin.

The house on the occasion hailed the services of all the former PFB officials including late Syed Khawar Shah, who was one of the pioneers of introducing baseball in Pakistan.

“The elections were held in the presence of the designated observer of the Pakistan Olympic Association, Arshad Sattar, under the supervision of the Chairman of the Election Commission, Muhammad Zubair Aziz Cheema, retired Sessions Judge, [and] members Advocate Muhammad Abdullah and Ijaz Ahmed Rana,” the PBF said.
