GUJRAT: On the occasion of the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Jee, 1,935 Sikh pilgrims hailing from India and other countries arrived at Gurdwara Rori Sahib, Eminabad, near Gujranwala, in three groups to perform their religious rituals.

The pilgrims were warmly welcomed by the MPAs Qaiser Iqbal Sandhu and Umer Farooq Dar, besides senior officials of divisional and district administration.

The Sikh pilgrims appreciated the arrangements, including security, medical facilities, sanitation etc, made for them and extended gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for this.

Gurdwara Rori Sahib holds a special spiritual and historical significance for the Sikh community. Throughout the year, pilgrims from around the world visit this sacred site to perform their religious rituals.

During the current celebrations, the visiting Sikh delegation offered prayers and performed their religious ceremonies at the gurdwara.

The pilgrims said they felt at home during the visit and thanked the people of Pakistan for extending a warm welcome to them and their hospitality.

During the visit, the district administration inspected the ‘Health Desk’ set up by Gujranwala heath authorities, offering essential facilities such as check-ups for diabetes, blood pressure, asthma, and basic life-saving medicines to the pilgrims.
