KARACHI, June 3: NBP stormed into the semifinals of All Pakistan Anwar Bhaijan memorial football championship when they beat HBL 4-2 on penalty shootout at Peoples Stadium on Friday.

The match ended in a 2-2 stalemate in the regulation time.

Abdul Sattar put NBP infront in 56th minute but Shahid Saleem equalised in 78th minute.

Abdul Qayyum put HBL ahead in 81st minute but Mohammad Abbas restored parity in 88th minute to take the match into a penalty shootout.

SSGC advanced to the last eight when they scored once in each half to defeat Karachi West 2-0.

Fareed Ahmed scored in 29th minute and Imran Hussain in 72nd minute.—APP
