Beenish, Mehwish meet in final

KARACHI, June 3: Beenish Sharif and Mehwish Zaman sailed into the women's singles final of Karachi regional badminton championship after winning their semifinals at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre on Saturday.

Beenish offered a great challenge in the first game before going down to Humaira Raees 21-18, 21-10 while Mehwish defeated Soofia Mughal 21-17, 21-11 also after keenly contested pre-final.

Regional competition is conducted to select Karachi men and women team for Sindh Games to be held at Hyderabad from June 12 to 16.
