BAHAWALPUR, June 3: Frequent electricity breakdowns have made the life of people miserable. The power supply, restored on Saturday morning after 12 hours’ breakdown in more than 22 localities, including Satellite Town, after a Friday night’s windstorm, disrupted for several times. The power failure badly affected the civic life and business activities besides adding to the sufferings of consumers.

When contacted, Mepco officials failed to justify the disruption of electricity.

HOUSE ROBBED: Six robbers took away cash and jewellery worth thousands of rupees from the house of Rana Mansoor Ahmad near small industrial estate here on Friday night.

According to police, the robbers locked the family in a room and took away the valuables. Saddar police have registered a case.
