Constable killed on road

SHEIKHUPURA, June 2: A constable was killed in an accident on Jaranwala Road near Sharqpur on Friday. Reports said that deceased Ashraf, posted at Shafiqabad police station in Lahore, was on his way to Sharqpur from Lahore by his motorcycle when a speeding truck knocked him down. As a result, he died on the spot.

Sharqpur police are going into the matter.

In another incident, one Abdul Razzaq of Kirtu village was shot dead by Shahid and his two accomplices over an old enmity near Narang Mandi.

Narang Mandi police are looking into the matter.
