Fine century by Nazir

LAHORE, Feb 7: Punjab University Law College and Government College of Science, Wahdat Road, entered the semifinals of the Punjab University colleges championship by  winning their respective matches Thursday.

A fine unbeaten century by Nazir Ahmed 101 helped The  Law College to beat the Teaching Departments by nine wickets.

Teaching Department: 162 for nine (Nabeel  Ahmed 49, Hafiz Shahid 22; Waseem 3/35, Murtaza Wattoo 2/19).

Law College: 164 for one in 27.5 overs (Nazir Ahmed 101  not out, 12 fours, Kashif Bhatti 40).

Government College of Science, registered a thumping eight wickets win over King Edward Medical College.

KEMC: 123 all out (Abi Waqas 61, Ali Niaz 20; Mansoor  3/29, Sarfraz Bhatti 3/35).

Science College: 124 for two in 23 overs (Mansoor 35, Irshad 45, Imran 23 not out).
