LAHORE, May 31: Five boxers from Sindh, three in junior section and two in cadet category, advanced to the semifinals of the 2nd Chief Minister National boxing championships at Atiq Stadium on Tuesday night.

Semifinals (Cadet Class)

46kgs: Adbul Waheed (KPT) bt Sikandar Khan (NWFP) 18-9 points.

57kgs: Azim (Sindh) bt Taj Mohammad (KPT) 13-11.

60kgs: Riaz China (Sindh) bt Rashid Maseh (NWFP) RSC in 1st round.

Junior Class

48kgs: Mohammad Nisar (KPT) bt Yousuf Ali (Balochistan) 22-02. Zeeshan Butt (Punjab) bt Jibran Munna (Sindh) 33-2.

51kgs: Fakir Mohammad (Sindh) bt Mohammad Raza (Punjab) 16-06. Imtiaz (KESC) bt Mohammad Ali (KPT) 22-20.

54kgs: Kazim (Balochistan) bt Umer Bin Bajan (Punjab) RSC 1st round. Ali Mohammad (KPT) bt Sajid Farman (Sindh) 22-10.

57kgs: Nazar Mohammad (Balochistan) bt Abdul Rauf (KESC) RSC 1st round. Shehbaz Khan (Punjab) bt S. Hussain Ali (Sindh) 25-22.

60kgs: Sajid Ali (KESC) beat Gul Sher (NWFP) 44-15. Munir Ahmed (Sindh) bt Zahir (Balochistan) 27-17.

64kgs: Arshad Hussain (KPT) bt Shoaib (Sindh) 21-9. Majid (Navy) walk over against Nauman (Punjab).

69kgs: Ramzan Baloch (Sindh) bt Iftikhar Hussain (Balochistan) retired in 1st round. Adil Butt (NWFP) bt Aziz Ahmed (Punjab) retired 1st round.

75kgs: Nadir Khan (Wapda) bt Naeem Murad (Sindh) retired 1st round. Mohammad Ahsan Khan (Punjab) bt Haroon Ali (Railways) 1st round.
