KARACHI, May 30: The CDGK would open the swimming pool facility at Kashmir Road for its members from June 7, Mansoor Mirza, Additional District Officer, City Sports Complex, said on Tuesday.

The pool which was closed for winter break in December was to open last month but the closure was further extended for renovation.

“The 25x50 metres swimming pool has got a new look following replacement of old tiles while its filter plant is being overhauled,” a visit to the site reveals.

Mirza said renovation of adjacent diving pool would be carried out next month.

This is the second time the pool has been renovated since its commissioning in 1974, the previous being a decade back in 1996.

The city sports complex provides cheapest sports facilities by charging Rs150 per month from a member under which his family can take benefit of all the available facilities at the premises.
