OKARA: After an exchange of harsh words between an official of the district administration in Dipalpur and a lawyer, both sides went on a strike including district officials in Okara, Renala and Dipalpur.

As per details, Advocate Sibtain Bhatti’s request related to a case was denied by Dipalpur Assistant Commissioner Faisal Walid and hot words were exchanged between the two. Afterwards, the lawyer asked Dipalpur Tehsil Bar Association (TBA) President Syed Israr Shah Gilani to reach the office of the AC.

However, things further escalated and Diplapur City police SHO was called, who managed to get the AC safely out of the office.

Protesting against the alleged behaviour of the lawyers, the revenue department officials along with patwaris went on a strike.

In response, the Dipalpur TBA also announced to go on a strike along with the lawyers of the District Bar Association (DBA) and Renala TBA.

DBA President Muhammad Asghar Khan and Renala TBA President Fahad Zaman Khan Bhatti announced a complete strike on Friday (today) against the district administration.
