QUETTA, May 29: Two people, including a minor girl, were killed and 10 others were seriously injured in landmine and bomb explosions in Mach and Dera Bugti areas on Monday. Three security personnel were among the injured.

Reports of armed clashes and rocket attacks were also Received from some areas in the troubled districts.

Two people riding a motorcycle hit a landmine near RD-238. The blast killed one of them and seriously injured the other who was admitted to Sui hospital.

In another landmine explosion in Patokh area some, 10-km from the Dera Bugti township, two security personnel were wounded critically and in another incident in Pash Bogi area a driver of an official water tanker was injured.

Sources said that the girl, six-year-old Maria was killed and four women and two men were injured in Mach when a powerful hand-grenade was hurled at a house in Makrani street.

A police officer said that the house was badly damaged.

Police and personnel of other law-enforcement agencies reached the place and shifted the injured to civil hospital.

Meanwhile, armed people fired at least 10 rockets on Frontier Corps checkposts in Sangsilla, Chamasha and Ghori Pul areas. No loss of life or property was reported. The sources said that security forces found some arms and ammunition in Patokh area.
