Crackdown on gutka suppliers

KARACHI: Police have arrested 15 persons during targeted operations against sale and distribution of gutka, mawa, and other banned chewable substances in several areas of Karachi South.

The operations were carried out within the jurisdictions of Kalri, Baghdadi, Kalakot, Nabi Bakhsh, and Napier police stations, according to officials.

The suspects were apprehended along with a large quantity of the contraband, and cases had been registered against them at the respective police stations, they said.
