NAWABSHAH, May 29: The Nawabshah Taluka Council approved a revised budget on Monday for the fiscal 2005-06 with Rs3.1 million surplus. A meeting of the taluka council, presided over by Khan Bahadur Bhatti, approved the budget. Taluka officer (finance) Abdul Rasheed Abbasi presented the budget.

He informed that the budget had receipts of Rs145.46 million while expenditures of Rs142.35 million.

He informed the council that the amount allocated for scholarships for poor students had been increased from Rs50,000 to Rs350,000, chemical for water supply from Rs200,000 to Rs1 million.
