HYDERABAD, May 28: Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo has demanded that the Sindh government should make public 90 demands of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement which it sent to the Sindh chief minister.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, he said that the people of Sindh had a right to know these demands.

Mr Palijo said that previously the MQM had placed certain demands before provincial governments, all of which were anti-Sindh and based on malafide intentions.

He said that Sindhis would not accept any demand which was against them.

THATTA: Activists of Awami Tehrik took out a procession on Sunday in protest against demolition of Sindhi settlements in urban areas, inadequate treatment facilities for gastroenteritis patients, proposed bifurcation of Thatta district and unemployment.

Awami Tehrik general secretary Dada Qadir Ranto, Ashraf Palijo and Khaliq Gandhro led the procession.

After marching through the main bazaar the protesters converged at the press club.

AT leaders said that if the government continued to play as a puppet in the hands of an ethnic group, nationalist parties would be compelled to take extreme steps and fight for their rights.
