KARACHI, Feb 7: Thirty-eight vehicles — 21 cars and 17 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, the police said.

Ten cars were hijacked. Eleven others were stolen.

ROBBERIES: Two robberies were committed in the city on Thursday, the police said.

Ali Haider lodged a complaint at Sachal police station that eight unidentified men deprived him of 125 cartons of cigarette in New Karachi Industrial Area.

Mansoorul Haque lodged a complaint at a police station that unknown men looted equipment from his factory.

KILLED: Unknown assailants killed a eunuch in his home at Cattle Colony.

The police said that the eunuch, Mohammed Shabbir, aged 35, was slaughtered in his home at Railway Colony, a shanty town in Cattle Colony.

The police said that unknown persons came to the eunuch’s home in the early hours of Thursday, slit his throat and escaped.

The police said that the eunuch had a guest visiting his residence from Kalapul area, who also left after the killing.

The body was sent to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre for post-mortem, the police said.

FOUND DEAD: An unidentified man was found dead in the police limits of Gulzar-i-Hijri on Thursday.

The police said that the unidentified man, who was in his 50s, was found dead at an open place near Decent Complex in Gulzar-i-Hijri.

The body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem. His report had been reserved till the receipt of the histopathological and chemical report, the police said.

Sources at the hospital said that there was no injury mark on the dead man’s body and he appeared to be an addict.
