KARACHI, May 27: A man was shot dead by unknown persons near Guru Mandir intersection here on Saturday. Police said some unknown gunmen intercepted Sakhi Mohammad, 25, at Guru Mandir and sprayed him with bullets. Sakhi died on the spot and his body was later shifted to a hospital for autopsy. Police believed an old enmity behind the murder.

Meanwhile, decomposed body of a man was found in Machhar Colony. Neighbours informed the police about the body. Police later shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy where identity of the deceased could not be established.

In SITE, the body of an unidentified woman was found in a storm-water drain at Labour Square. Police shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy. However, the cause of death could not be ascertained.

ACCIDENTS: Three people died in road accidents at separate places here on Saturday.

Ameerzadi, 35, a bus passenger from Ghotki, was hit by a vehicle when she was getting down on Superhighway.

The woman was taken to a hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. The body was sent to Ghotki for burial.

At Korangi No 5, a man died in a hit-and-run accident. The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy where he was identified as Lal Mohammad, 60.

In another accident in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, a man received serious injuries.

He was taken to a nearby private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
