LAHORE: The Hall 2 at Alhamra Cultural Complex is a potent place to introduce new talent through the Talent Hunt programme for young singers, and instrumentalist performances.

The place is marked by some exceptional music, and the venue is beautifully lit with green and red lights. A substantial audience gathers for the event on Thursdays, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

This artistic space aims to provide opportunities for young talents in singing, instrumental music, movie screenings, and short drama skits.

Thursday evening was filled with captivating singing performances, with artists from Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts delivering renditions of Pakistani film music classics. Additionally, a master flute player graced the event by playing the enchanting tunes.

Alhamra Cultural Complex’s inviting open red brick floor and a nice hall creates the perfect setting for musicians and singers to captivate a diverse audience. The live orchestra tunes, enchanting illuminations, and floral decorations make the hall a significant attraction for visitors, especially on weekends. During the weekly concerts, songs and instrumental performances pay tribute to the golden era of Pakistani cinema, featuring popular film numbers.

The general public is invited to perform on the stage. This initiative provides young singers and instrumentalists and actors with a space to showcase their talents during the upcoming winter evenings, adding a delightful touch to musical performances. Qaiser Javed, the acting teacher at Alhamra Cultural Complex, told Dawn that Talent Hunt is a vibrant aspect of Alhamra that takes place on Thursdays.
