KARACHI, May 26: In the wake of reports about rising cases of waterborne diseases, 130 samples of water were collected from different areas of Lyari Town.

District Officer Quality Control Dr Shaukat Zaman along with Town Municipal Officer Lyari, Town Health Officer Lyari and Chief Food Inspector collected the water samples and sent the same to the city government laboratory for examination.

The areas from where samples had been collected were Bihar Colony, Chakiwara, New Kalri, Kalakote, Usmanabad, Ramsawami, Baba-pat, Rangi Wara and Sango Lane.—PPI
