Four smugglers held

MARDAN, May 25: The Mardan police foiled an attempt to smuggle clothes and mobile phones and arrested four men here on Thursday.

Police were tipped off about the smugglers, so they cordoned off the area with a heavy contingent.

During checking, 900 cartons of clothes, 715 cartons of mobile phones and 500 bails of cotton were recovered from a truck.

Police arrested four men: Haji Mohammad Din, Iftikhar, Faisal Khan and Rahat Khan. A pistol and bullets were also recovered from their possession.—Online
