TOBA TEK SINGH: Three members of a family died after the roof of their under-construction house caved-in in Islampura locality of Nankana Sahib on Wednesday evening.

Police said bodies Muhammad Muzammal’s wife Shahbaz Bibi (35), son Muazzam Ali (12) and daughter Amina Bibi (14) were recovered from the debris by residents of the area and Rescue 1122.

ENCOUNTER:Anabductedminorgirlwas recovered and thealleged kidnapper was injuredinan encounter between two suspects and Jaranwala City policeon Wednesday.

Police claimed when policemen signalled two suspects on a motorcycle to stop at a picket near Bachiana Chowk, they allegedly opened fire which was returned. Police claimed that they found one alleged kidnapper injured and recovered abducted girl Aneesa Bibi (7).

Police claimed the suspect was injured by the firing of his own accomplice, who managed to flee.

Police said the injured suspect was shifted to the Jaranwala THQ Hospital and was identified as Muhammad Suleman against whom a case of abduction of girl was registered a day ago.

NEW TRAIN SERVICE: Efforts will be made with the consultation of all concerned sectors for starting new cargo and passenger train services for the local business community, said Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) acting President Qaisar Shams Gucha.

In this regard, a coordination committee meeting was held on Wednesday at the FCCI where it was decided that the Pakistan Railways CEO would be contacted for starting the new services.

It was decided that a joint committee of FCCI, Faisalabad Dry Port Trust, Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Company and Customs would be constituted to contact the PR CEO and formulate the strategy for the new services.

The meeting was told that the committee would also follow-up on the discussions with Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi after his recent visit to the FCCI.

Coordination committee Chairman Muzammil Sultan said that PR would be requested to make Faisalabad a stop for business and cargo trains currently operating between Lahore and Karachi.

It was also decided at the meeting that a joint meeting of all stakeholders would be convened for the construction of a dedicated sub-station and platforms at the M-3 Industrial Estate.

Similarly, letters should also be written to the PR to revive the executive lounge at the Faisalabad railway station and restoration of quota in different trains for FCCI members.

The meeting was attended by Mian Muhammad Latif, Executive Members Mirza Zahid Iqbal, Engineer Bilal Jamil and Mr Faisal Pracha who also gave their input at the meeting.
