QUETTA, May 21: A man was killed and four policemen and six others were injured in landmine and cycle bomb explosions in Dera Bugti and Hub on Sunday.

A pipeline supplying gas to the Sui plant was blown up in Sui area and fighting in parts of Kohlu district reportedly resulted in casualties.

According to sources, a tractor trolley carrying wheat crop hit a landmine near Patokh village in Dera Bugti, leaving the driver Wahid Bakhsh Bugti dead and one Abdul Majeed Bugti injured.

In Hub, four policemen and five other people, including a woman and her five-year-old daughter, were injured when a bomb on a bicycle exploded near a police pick-up on duty near the shrine of Pir Abdullah Shah Bukhari on Sakran Road. “It was a cycle bomb planted to target the police,” an official said.

According to the sources, unknown people blew up a 16-inch gas pipeline in Sui area in the early hours of the day. Supply from well No.50 of the gas field to the main plant was suspended. The supply was expected to be restored on Monday, the sources said.
