Published May 22, 2006

LAHORE, May 21: Women belonging to the PML-N, the PPP and the Jamaat-i-Islami demonstrated outside the Lahore Press Club on Sunday to seek the release of MNA Saad Rafiq.

Begum Tehmina, Ghazala Saad, Azma Bukhari and Faiza Malik were prominent among the participants.

They said there was no justification for the government to arrest the PML-N legislator when he had been granted bail by court.

Meanwhile, a Punjab MSF workers’ convention will be held here on Monday under the chairmanship of Rana Mohammad Arshad.

Zulfikar Khosa, Jaafar Iqbal, Zaeem Qadri and Rana Tanvir Husain will be among speakers.
