KARACHI, May 21: The Shuhada-i-Nishtar Park tragedy conference has demanded making public the investigations made so far by sensitive agencies of the April 11 incident.

The conference warned that if the investigation was not made public, they would give a call for a ‘shroud-clad’ protest.This was stated in a resolution adopted at the conference held at the Nishtar Park on Saturday night by the Sunni Tehrik on the chehlum of its leaders Abbas Qadri, Iftikhar Bhatti, Akram Qadri, Dr Abdul Qadeer Abbasi and other Ulema and people, who were killed in the April 11 bomb blast.

The conference, which was addressed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Mufti Muhammad Jan Naeemi, Maulana Abdul Aleem Hazarvi, Maulana Abdul Haleem Qadri, Sahibzada Zubair, Siddique Rathore, Shahid Ghauri, Sarwat Ejaz Qadri and others, continued till 2am.

At the conference, Sarwat Ejaz Qadri announced to be the acting chief of the Sunni Tehreek.

In the resolution, the attitude of the Sindh government was criticized.

It also demanded that use of government machinery against the ST should be stopped forthwith, and all those involved in the tragedy should be arrested and exemplary punishment given to them.

A resolution also called upon the government to declare the ambassadors of the countries involved in publications of blasphemous cartoons unwanted and to expel them from Pakistan besides boycotting the products of these countries officially.

In a resolution, the US government was flayed for its attitude towards Muslim countries, asking it to stop its conspiracies against the Muslims.

The conference advised the US to desist from aggression against Iran, as an attack on Iran would be taken as an attack on the entire Muslim Ummah.

The conference condemned the allegations hurled by Afghanistan against Pakistan and observed that the Afghan government was accusing Pakistan at the behest of India in connivance with the US. It asked the Afghanistan government to correct its direction.

The resolution also demanded that Israel should end its occupation of the Al-Quds.
