LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday approved two development schemes and a concept paper with an estimated cost of Rs1.3 billion.

The working party’s 21st meeting, chaired by Planning and Development Board Punjab Chairman Dr Naeem Rauf, approved purchase of two MRI machines for Allied Hospital-II and BBH Rawalpindi at an estimated cost of Rs900 million.

The meeting, attended by P&D Board SRafaqat Ali, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, special secretary local government Asia Gul, P&D Board members and other senior officers, approved a scheme of establishment of e-libraries for students and the general public at an estimated cost of Rs400m.

It also approved a concept paper on Punjab Climate Resilient & Low Carbon Agriculture Mechanisation Project.
