KARACHI, May 19 : Off-spinner Atif Maqbool captured five wickets to spin Model CC to 41 runs win over Wireless Gymkhana in KCCA Zone-IV Invitation cricket tournament at Malir Sports Stadium on Thursday.

Atif finished with figures of five for 30 to dismiss Wireless Gymkhana for 161 in 29.2 overs. Rehan Ahmed (50), Iqbal Khan (38) were their main scorers.

Earlier, Aamir Ashraf slammed 73 and Afzal Khan got 32 as Model CC scored 202 all out in 28.5 overs. Asif Khan took five wickets for 33 runs.

In the other match United Gymkhana beat Friends Gymkhana by three wickets. Friends Gymkhana were bowled out for 110 in 28.4 overs. Wasim Razzak made 26 and Bilal Mansoor got 25. Babar Khawaja took four wickets for 21 runs.

United Gymkhana reeled-off the required runs in 22.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Muhammad Siddique finished 26 not out and Roni Robert got 25. Aftab Nasim took three wickets for 25 runs.—APP
