Bangladesh and Oman qualify

DHAKA, May 19: Hosts Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Oman and Chinese Taipei have booked places in Asian Games men's hockey competition after their penultimate round matches in qualifying tournament.

Oman got better of Sri Lanka by a solitary goal while Hong Kong beat Chinese Taipei with identical margin. The loss was enough for Chinese Taipei to finish fourth in tournament with nine points, five more than fifth-placed Singapore.

Four top finishers qualify for continental event to be held in Doha from Dec 2 to 14.

Bangladesh maintained their all win record with 10-0 victory over Singapore.
