Gaza death toll since dawn rises to 55

At least 55 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces across Gaza since dawn, sources in hospitals in the enclave have told Al Jazeera.

At least 33 of the dead were in Gaza City, which has been the focus of intense assaults by the Israeli military.

The victims included 22 people seeking aid, including 13 people who were killed by Israeli forces near an aid centre north of Rafah, sources at the Nasser Medical Complex said.
