KASUR: A woman and her minor son died while two of her minor sons were said to be serious after taking unwholesome milk at Umarabad in Habibabad in Pattoki Saddar police precincts on Wednesday.

After the incident, it was discovered that the milk they consumed, was poisonous as a lizard had fallen into it.

According to police, Farah Bibi (35) and her three sons Hashir (4), Huzaifa (8) and Balaj (10) took milk on Tuesday night. Farah is the wife of Muhammad Iftikhar, who is residing and working abroad. Farah and her son Hashir died on their way to hospital while Huzaifa and Balaj were referred to Children’s Hospital, Lahore, owing to their serious condition.

Further investigation is underway.
