Trials to select soccer players

QUETTA, May 17: Trials to select soccer players from Balochistan for induction in national camp will be held at Ayub Stadium on May 23 and 24.

Trials in Sindh and Punjab have already been completed while NWFP Football Association will hold trials on June 7 and 8 at Qayyum Stadium.

Bahrain's Salman Ahmed Sharida will conduct the trials and later select national and U-23 teams.

The U-23 team will defend their title at 10th South Asia Games at Colombo, Sri Lanka, from August 17.

The national squad will take on Jordan, Oman and UAE in 14th Asian Cup Football qualifiers (Group-C).—PPI
