POWER BREAKDOWN: A six-hour power breakdown hit the district on Tuesday after strong winds uprooted trees and some electricity poles near the grid station and the OTS Road.

An old tree fell near the army-run Samana Bakery and three tres on the Officers Training School Road which caused the blackout.

BLACK DAY: The Imamia Student Organisation staged a protest in front of the Kohat Press Club against anti-Muslim policies of the United States. They also observed the day of Israel’s creation as a black day.

They demanded that Israel should vacate the occupied territories and the US should stop threatening Iran.
