PESHAWAR, May 16: Provincial general secretary of the Pakistan People’s Party Sikander Hayat Khan Sherpao has said that the PPP has always raised voice for the rights and progress of the province and its people.

He was addressing a public gathering at Tehsil Dhaki in District Charsadda on Tuesday. He said that the PPP was a representative party of the province and had worked for resolution of long-standing problems of masses.

He said that the party was taking concrete steps for raising the standard of living of the common man.

He said approval of Munda dam project by the party under the leadership of Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao would help resolve problem of unemployment in the area. He said under-developed areas would be brought on par with other parts of the country.

AMOs regularised: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has regularised the services of 20 AMOs who were working on contract basis.

The decision was taken in a meeting on the recommendation of the Regularisation Board, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.

The decision would improve the Pesco performance and ensure better facilities to consumers, the press release said.—APP
