TOBA TEK SINGH: A court released on bail 18 foreigners who were under arrest in the seven FIRs registered against them for online fraud.

These foreign nationals would have to submit bail bonds of Rs200,000 each.

Sixty male and female foreigners accused in the same cases were produced before the court and the court sent them to district jail on 14 day judicial remand. They would be produced before the court on Aug 11.

The judge extended the physical remand of former Fesco chairman Malik Tehseen Awan for another five days.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) produced the accused before Crimes Division Court Judge Muhammad Ashfaq Malik after his five day physical remand ended.

ENCOUNTERS: In the first incident near Jorray Pul in Saddar police area of Faisalabad, police stopped four suspects riding two motorcycles but they opened, which was also returned.

When the firing stopped, police found a suspect, identified as Muhammad Junaid, injured while others escaped. He was shifted to Allied Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A police spokesperson claimed he had received bullets fired by his accomplices. He added that the suspect was wanted by different police stations in 14 robberies.

At Kamalia on Jhonnay Shahwala Link Road, an alleged robber had also been killed in an encounter. Police said the outlaw, identified as Bilal Ahmad, and his accomplice had snatched a motorcycle and valuables from a man. When the police chased them, they opened fire and an exchange of firing started. When the firing ended, the police found Bilal dead.

ROOF COLLAPSE: Three persons were injured seriously when the roof of a wood workshop caved in on them in Hajiabad locality on the Sheikhupura Road of Faisalabad.

Rescue 1122 report said the roof was in a dilapidated condition.

The wounded, identified as Amer Latif (21), Abdul Rahman (33) and Muhammad Ali (28), had been shifted to the Allied Hospital.
