QUETTA: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Thursday that three terrorists were killed, while two security personnel, including an army major, embraced martyrdom during an intelligence based military operation in Mastung district a day earlier.

It identified the two martyrs as Major Zeeyyad Salim, 31, a resident of Khushab district, and Sepoy Nazam Hussain, 22, from Jhelum district.

According to the ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Mastung “on the reports about the presence of terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy, Fitna al Hindustan”.

During the operation, troops engaged the militants, and killed three of them, the statement said.
