QUETTA: Three security personnel, including an officer, were martyred and eight others injured in separate gun and bomb attacks in Mastung on Wednesday.

Sources said an officer and a security personal were martyred and five others injured in a shooting on a convoy of security officials in Kabo Isplinji area of Mastung district.

In Gul Jan area of Mastung, sources said, security officials were targeted in an explosion. One official embraced martyrdom and three others sustained wounds in the attack.

The sources added that militants targeted a vehicle of the security forces by planting an improvised explosive device (IED) along the road near a security post, which was then donated with a remote control.
