CJCSC meets Turkish, Azeri defence ministers

RAWALPINDI: Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), attended the 17th International Defence Industry Fair in Istanbul, Turkiye, on Wednesday.

The fair is a global event that showcases cutting-edge innovations and advancements in the defence sector.

According to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the CJCSC held meetings with Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler; Metin Gurak, Chief of Turkish General Staff; Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister Hasanov Zakir Asgar Oglu, and his deputy Gurbanov Agil Salim Oglu, on the sidelines of the exhibition.

The discussions centred on bilateral military cooperation, with emphasis on expanding cooperation in the fields of defence and security.
