VEHARI, May 15: The continuous heat wave claimed another 10 lives in Vehari and Sahiwal during the last 24 hours. Ghulam Qadir of Mailsi, Akram of Jallajeem, Hanif and Riaz of Karampur, Abdul Hameed of Chak 7-Wb, Anees of Ratta Tibba and Jannat Bibi of Chak 5-WB fell unconscious while working in fields owing to severe heat and expired on the spot.

Some 15 people, including children, were hospitalised in the Dokota area in Mailsi.

Three people — Asghar, Imam Din and Sabiran — died in Sahiwal.
