Dismal show by Pakistan women

LAHORE, May 15: Pakistan women football team has lost all three matches by big margins in the International futsal tournament presently in progress in Jordan. According to information available, Pakistan lost to United Arab Emirates 15-0.

In the second match, Lebanon shocked Pakistan by a bigger margin 21-0 while a Jordanian Club outclassed the squad 22-0.

However, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has not been releasing the results because of the team’s poor performance.

When contacted the PFF Director Technical Mujahid Ullah admitted that the margin of defeat was bigger and added that the team was sent to gain experience.

But when queried, if the defeats had not tarnished the name of Pakistan in Jordan as the spectators did not know the team was there to gain experience, the director had no reply but added since FIFA provided air tickets, therefore, the PFF decided to send the team.

The director said that FIFA was also sending a team to Pakistan to prepare a documentary about the national women football. The team he said would reach Karachi on May 21 and it would also visit Islamabad and Lahore.
