ISLAMABAD: Chief Executive Officer of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) Mohammad Naeem Jan on Friday stated that as part of this ongoing initiative, the Apna Meter Apni Reading – Power Smart Application has been launched, allowing consumers to become directly involved in the electricity billing process.

“Using this smart application, consumers will be able to take their own meter readings each month on the designated date and send them to Iesco.

This has made timely, accurate, error-free, and transparent meter reading possible,” he said and added that objective of this initiative is to eliminate incorrect and delayed readings caused by meter readers and to empower consumers in the billing process using modern technology, enabling them to closely monitor their electricity usage and the accuracy of their bills.

Mohammad Naeem Jan added that under the directions of the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy, all Iesco offices have been provided necessary tools and instructions.
