OKARA, May 14: The injured Christian woman who had been shifted from DHQ hospital to Lahore, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.

Reports said Surraya Bibi of Christian colony was sleeping in her courtyard on Saturday when a stray bullet had hit her. She had been taken to DHQ hospital where doctors referred her to Lahore for her critical condition.

On Sunday evening, dozens of relatives of Surraya Bibi ransacked the DHQ hospital and broke windowpanes of emergency ward against what they said negligence of doctors. The protesters managed to escape on seeing the police.

FUNERAL: On the appeal of city Jamaat-i-Islami, scores of people offered funeral prayers of Aamir Cheema, who was tortured to death by German police.

The funeral was led by Ahle-Hadith youth force secretary-general Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Osmani.
