Man stabs daughter, her lover

SHEIKHUPURA, May 14: A man killed his daughter and her alleged lover in Jhalar Saven village, Wagah, on Sunday. Reports said Ali Husain’s daughter Yasmin had relations with Habib. On Sunday, he stabbed his daughter and her lover with a sharp-edged weapon, killing them on the spot.

Mananwala police have arrested the accused with the weapon.

SHOT DEAD: A youth was shot dead and his uncle injured by six armed men over an old enmity in Bedarpur Virkan on Sunday.

Six people, including Sohail, Shahbaz, Waris, Javaid and Mohabbat, entered the Dera of Attaullah and opened fire. Atta’s son Jamshaid and brother Ashraf sustained bullet injuries and were taken to the local THQ Hospital from where they were shifted to Lahore owing to critical condition where Jamshaid died.

It is said that Ashraf’s relatives had got registered a false theft case against the accused some time back.

Muridke Sadar police are investigating.

SUICIDE: A woman committed suicide owing to illness in Nangal Kaswala, Muridke, on Sunday.

Rafia Bibi had been ill for the last several months. She took poisonous pills and was taken to the Mayo Hospital, Lahore, where she died.
