ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Commerce on Thursday launched a dedicated platform aimed at accelerating Pakistan’s digital trade and e-commerce ecosystem while enhancing regional business connectivity through digital corridors.

The initiative was unveiled at the inaugural GLOBE Pakistan Summit, launched by Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

The event marks the country’s first-ever formal platform focused on fostering digital trade and regional integration.

Commerce Secretary Jawad Paul reaffirmed the government’s commitment to establishing a secure, globally integrated digital trade environment. He said the government was actively facilitating e-commerce and digital platforms to help local businesses expand into international markets.

Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch highlighted the growing significance of economic diplomacy in expanding Pakistan’s trade footprint. She stressed the need for leveraging digital tools to strengthen regional partnerships and promote cross-border trade.
