Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid has said he hopes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returns from his meetings with the US president in Washington with a deal to end the fighting, Al Jazeera reports.
“We are in a decisive moment, and we all pray that the prime minister returns from Washington with an agreement for the hostages, and also ends the war in Gaza,” he said in the Knesset (Israeli parliament). “There is nothing more important to the community than that.”
